okbet is built for friends who know and trust each other. Every bet is private, invite-only, and settled by the people in it — not by a house, algorithm, or anonymous counterparty.
That design is intentional. Private groups and friend-settled outcomes create natural social accountability that public platforms can't replicate. But private doesn't mean consequence-free. Real stakes — even small ones between friends — deserve honest attention.

AGE REQUIREMENT
okbet is intended for users aged 18 and older (or the legal age where you live, if higher).
KEEP IT FUN
The best bets are the ones you'd make anyway — the ones that come up at dinner, on the golf course, or in the group chat at 11pm. Here are a few ways to keep it that way:
- Stake what you'd spend on the moment, not more. If the group is splitting a $50 dinner tab, a $5 bet fits. If losing a bet would change your week, the stake is too high.
- Don't chase.A lost bet is a lost bet. Creating a bigger one to “win it back” is the fastest way to stop having fun.
- Take a break when it stops being fun. If you're betting out of frustration, boredom, or obligation instead of excitement, step away. The group chat will still be there.
- Talk about it.One of the advantages of betting with friends is that your friends actually know you. If someone in your group is pushing stakes higher than the vibe calls for, it's okay to say something.
WHEN TO PAY ATTENTION
Most people who use okbet will never need this section. But if any of these feel familiar, it's worth a pause:
- Betting is causing stress, arguments, or anxiety instead of fun
- You're staking money you need for rent, bills, or essentials
- You're hiding bets or losses from people close to you
- You feel like you need to bet to feel normal or excited
- You're creating bets to recover money from previous losses
- Friends or family have expressed concern about your betting
None of these make you a bad person. They're signals worth listening to.

okbet is social by design, which means the people closest to a problem are also the people most likely to notice it. If you're concerned about someone in your group:
- Trust your instinct.If someone's behavior around bets has changed — higher stakes, more frequent bets, unusual intensity about outcomes — your concern is valid.
- Say something privately.A direct, low-pressure message goes further than calling someone out in the group. “Hey, are you good?” is enough.
- Use VOID as a safety valve. Every okbet participant can vote VOID on any bet. If a bet feels wrong — stakes got out of hand, someone joined who shouldn't have, the situation changed — voting VOID refunds everyone. That's by design.
- Share resources. The NCPG helpline (1-800-522-4700) is confidential and free. You can share it without making a diagnosis.
- You're not overreacting. Looking out for your friends is the whole point.
HOW OKBET IS DESIGNED TO HELP
okbet's product decisions reflect our values around responsible use:
- Private groups only. There is no public directory, no anonymous opponents, no algorithmic matching. You bet with people you chose to invite. Social accountability is built in.
- Friend-settled outcomes. The people in the bet vote the result. There is no house edge, no odds-setting engine, and no incentive for okbet to influence outcomes.
- VOID voting.Any participant can vote VOID on any bet. If a majority votes VOID, all stakes are refunded. This gives every group a built-in safety valve for bets that shouldn't have happened.
- Non-custodial.okbet never holds your funds. Stakes sit in a bet-specific smart contract, and after the group's vote winners claim their own payout.
- Transparent settlement. Payout math is visible before you join. No hidden fees, no surprise deductions, no post-hoc changes.
- No engagement tricks. okbet does not use streaks, loss-leader bonuses, free-bet incentives, or algorithmic bet suggestions designed to increase frequency or stake size.
CURRENT PRODUCT STATUS
okbet is live on Base mainnet with real USDC, in open beta. Bets are real-money: stakes are real and non-reversible.
okbet's contracts have completed internal peer review and are source-verified on Basescan, with an external security-firm audit in progress. We are rolling out and strengthening:
- Region-based access controls so okbet is available only where permitted
- Age assurance (the minimum legal age where you live)
- Clear, jurisdiction-aware disclosures
- Ongoing responsible-use guidance for each market
